Is your resolution this year to join the “green movement”? Being environmentally conscious doesn’t just mean shopping in the organic section at Harris Teeter. No sir. Not only can you eat organic, but you can WEAR organic as well.
Organic cotton is currently one of the most popular organic fibers used in clothing and apparel. According to the Organic Trade Association, “organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.” In other words, organic cotton is grown without the insecticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers. Why is this a good thing for you? Because Fibre2Fashion.com says that many skin diseases and health hazards occur due to wearing of fabrics that are cultivated and processed by such products.
Eww, right?
