I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of talk about the musical Jesus Christ Superstar as being one of theater’s masterpieces. Written in 1971 by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, it’s still walking on water (so-to-speak) 37 years later. The performances will feature Ted Neeley, playing the part of Jesus, and Corey Glover (from Living Colour), plays the fri-enemy Judas. Tuesday, June 3 & Wednesday, June 4. $20-$59. 8 p.m. Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
