FoxNews windbag Bill O’Reilly had the gall yesterday to complain on his show about teabagging jokes. Many progressives had fun at the expense of the Tea Parties held around the country, where organizers urged the crowds to “teabag your Congressman” or “teabag Obama,” apparently unaware that they were urging their participants to, um, do something sexual with their elected representatives.
The jokes were too much for Mr. Propriety, who denounced the teabagging humor as beyond the pale and an example of how morally low our nation has fallen in these days of liberal degeneracy, blahblahblahblah. EXCUSE ME?! In case anyone needs reminding, O’Reilly, AKA Sir Culture Warrior, who has centered his FoxNews career on lecturing about too much sex in pop culture, is a flaming, shameless hypocrite of the highest order. O’Reilly, remember, is the author of the awful novel Those Who Trespass, which includes ludicrous, but explicit, sex scenes. More significantly, though, five years ago, O’Reilly the Anti-Teabagger had to pay a former TV producer, Andrea Mackis, over $2 million after she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit detailing his repeated lewd phone calls to her. See details here. In one of those calls, O’Reilly told Mackis he wanted to have sex with her in a shower, using a loofah, which he later called a “falafel,” thus O’Reilly’s nickname, O’Falafel, on Keith Olbermann’s Countdown show on MSNBC. There, one more hypocritical conservative put in his place. I feel better now.
