Just in case you thought the members of Congress who voted against the stimulus package were principled patriots oozing sincerity, check out this story from the Think Progress Web site. They highlight a report in which they document 110 GOP lawmakers who voted against stimulus spending but then took credit for projects in their districts or states that were bought by the stimulus.
Among the roll of honor is, of course, Sue Myrick who quietly asked the government for more stimulus money for her district to train workers for energy-efficient projects. So much for concerns about socialism, huh? Sen. Richard Burr is mentioned in the report for, as weve reported here before, personally presenting a check to officials in Bethlehem, NC for a new fire station. And it almost goes without saying that Sens. Lindsey Graham and Jim LOreal Feria Hair Dye DeMint scarfed up a sizeable bundle of the communistic, ultra-libbul spending package for their state. The report doesnt discriminate according to party, either, mentioning Democratic Rep. Heath Shuler, who voted against the stimulus but told his constituents theyd get their fair share. So, as we said, just in case you thought these are wonderful, principled public servants …

Let’s see, Myrick voted for the first banker bailout in Oct. ’08 under Bush, She also voted for the trillion dollar ’03 Medicare Bill. She has vote for every Iraq War spending bill. Now keep in mind that this is money the government does not have, it’s all debt.
Burr voted for the Bush Bailout and Obama’s first Iraq War spending bills, again money we dont have.
These aren’t little dips in debt, we’re talking billions and trillions of dollars.
These two havent seen too many spending bills they didnt like while Emperor Bush was in power, They now have a tiny bit of trepidation since Emperor Obama is in office, but its all for show.
They’re chameleons and co-conspirators with the Democrats in destroying this country.
Voting no on one spending bill is better than voting yes on everything but they cancelled out the positives by voting for so much deficit spending. They are the reason we are in dire straits today.
“I didnt vote for THAT trillion dollar spending bill…I voted for all the others BUT that one…call me a fiscal conservative!!!!” — What a joke.
