Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is typically associated with one thing … children. But that’s not the case on Saturday when the theater company hosts its special 21-and-up Treasure Island Pirate Party. Dress in your pirate best (there’s a costume party and those who dress up get an extra drink ticket) and enjoy appetizers from Brixx, drinks (a cash bar will be available, for after you use up those drink tickets) and giveaways (including a chance to win a voucher for US Airways) during the reception. To follow is a performance of Ken Ludwig’s play Treasure Island, adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel. And, best of all, you don’t have to worry about noisy little kids ruining it for you, so don’t forget your IDs! Tickets are $25 (includes food, one drink ticket and show). Reception at 6:30 p.m.; show at 8 p.m. ImaginOn’s McColl Family Theatre, 300 E. 7th St. For more information, call 704-973-2828 or click here.
