Lary & Key Gallery’s new exhibit focuses on homemade food and handmade items, with the importance of visually pleasing arrangements in regard to the food. Potters including Jennifer Mecca, Amy Sanders, Linda Christianson, Victoria Christen, Amy Evans, Ursula Hargens, Allison McGowan, Connie Norman, Gillian Parke, Kari Radasch (see her pictured cake plate), Paula Smith and Liz Zlot Summerfield will display their functional pottery, which can be used at the table. The exhibit also features two-dimensional artwork portraying themes of food and the table by gallery co-owner Duy Huynh, and guest artists Wanda Steppe and Diane Hoeptner. Opening reception — in conjunction with ARTfeast, featuring a pottery demonstration and discussion with Paula Smith, light snacks and sweets from Cupcake Delirium and the chance to pick at Mike McBride’s 13-foot telecaster guitar — on Oct. 7, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
