Nonprofit LGBTQ advocacy group Time Out Youth will offer a new support and discussion group for youth ages 11-14. Topics will range from fostering healthy relationships, self-esteem and coping skills.

The group will meet on the third Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Time Out Youth office. Referrals can be made in advance, but are not required, by calling 704-344-8335 or by emailing mjohnson@timeoutyouth.org.

“We are excited to offer programming for younger youth in the community,” said Executive Director Rodney Tucker in a statement. “We have received a high number of calls from parents who wanted to ensure their children will have friends, be safe and happy.”

TOY provides support, advocacy, and education for LGBTQ youth ages 11-20 in Charlotte and the surrounding communities. For more information about services or volunteer opportunities, call 704-344-8335 or visit www.TimeOutYouth.org.
