As you’ve probably heard by now, Fox News’ comedian-turned-crybaby-political-pundit, Glenn Beck, has decided he should hold a rally on the anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous “I have a dream” speech … and in the same location, no less.

Below, you’ll find videos of MLK Jr.’s famous speech as well as an interview with Glenn Beck where he defends his notorious habit of making racist comments. You tell me: Are these men anything alike?

I say they’re nothing alike. For starters, Rev. King’s mission was to bring people together and Beck’s mission is to dumb people down and convince them to distrust anyone who’s not like them. With that, I can only assume Beck is doing this for the attention.

But, that’s just my opinion. What’s yours? What do you think about Beck’s rally on the anniversary of Rev. King’s speech?

  1. How about the video of Dr. Aveda King, MLK’s neice explaining why she thinks Gleen Beck is similar to her uncle ?

  2. It is laughable that Glenn Beck is taken seriously. Worse, that he is even mentioned in the same breath as MLK. If you compare their accomplishments, it’s a joke (see what I mean here http://bit.ly/bs5DPm). In truth all Beck is doing is promoting his celebrity and his books, thus building his wealth. And the Tea Partiers? They are willing dupes to help him, and they get nothing but the deserved ridicule and derision from having a frat boy and morning zoo DJ their intellectual and spiritual leader.

  3. Glen Beck is mentally ill, and anyone who listens to him regularly and buys into his garbage is a moron.

I don’t even want to speculate on what kind of mind would pay him to speak.

  4. It’s obvious the left has nothing better to discuss than Glen Beck, Tea Parties and Sarah Palin. Beck’s mission is not to dumb people down, it’s to get people to think for themselves, question government and question leaders on BOTH sides of the aisle. There are numerous issues going on in this country right now but scared liberals would rather focus on Glen Beck and Tea Parties because they have no good solutions to the problems.

  5. SP, Glenn Beck’s “mission,” as you put it, is to make a fortune off morons who don’t know any better than to take him seriously. Period.
