Our state is getting about $300 million in grants for education-related jobs. And it’s aimed at making us smarter, not some random bullshit.
This kinda news, which you can read all about over at The Charlotte Business Journal, gives me hope. You?

While money is essential to run the educational system, it is not the determining factor in education quality.
Someone needs to take a clean sheet of paper and design a new educational system where teachers are actually in control of the students and where graduates of the system are ready to become contributing members of society.
It’s not as simple as writing someone a check.
1. Half the words in the caption of that video are misspelled.
2. “$300 million dollars” is literally “three hundred million dollars dollars”, since you have included both a dollar sign and the word “dollars”.
But don’t let that stop you from feeling superior, sweetie.
That money will be borrowed from the Chinese and become part of the debt that it’s allegedly “helping”.
Since we’re making corrections, Obamessiah, you should know that periods and commas always go inside quotation marks … sweetie.
Obamessiah is probably Frank Griffin. The same sexist crap (calling the writer “sweetie”), the same ignorance of grammar and puntuation, and the same far-right bullshit. Seems pretty obvious.
TheObamessiah, thanks for the edit. While I don’t feel superior to anyone, I do often make mistakes, especially when I’m preoccupied with more important things (like yesterday’s 13-hour EPA hearing) … and I’ll correct that one. Regarding the video, it’s from YouTube, not something we created. And, as far as the misspellings go, I have no idea if those were intentional or not. Artistic license doesn’t have to make sense to anyone but the artist.
P.S. It’s Rhiannon, not “sweetie.”
