This time of year always gives you a sense of new beginnings. The eclipsed new moon occurs in your sign on Sept. 11. Now that serious Saturn is your new planetary partner, it is clearly time to begin the steps toward necessary changes. You need a new self-definition.
For All Signs: Venus, goddess of love to the ancients, has been retrograding since July. On Sept. 8 she will go direct, representing a shift toward the better in relationships with restoration to order (if indeed, relationships can ever be considered “orderly”). During Venus’ resting period of the last several weeks, we were pressed to encounter our personal behavior and relationship values. Many had opportunities to encounter persons of the past and heal old wounds. Now we shift our attention back to the present, hopefully with deeper insight into our motivations. Though the goddess is now direct, the impact of the whole cycle will not be apparent until mid-October when she returns to the place where the retrograde motion began.
Aries: Mars, your ruling planet, is unusually mellow this week. Your normally charging energy will be more laid back. This is a good time to enjoy the romantic, whether it is a novel, a movie or a person. Travel to nearby places is favored. Your mood is sociable.
Taurus: Read the lead paragraph carefully because Venus is your ruling planet and she represents you in the pantheon. During the summer you may have taken a break from a relationship or set important decisions aside for a later time. Now you may find yourself more able to find a peaceful solution.
Gemini: Aspects favor travel, legal interests, dealing with people at a distance, education and publishing. Mercury, your ruling planet, has moved into the sector of life related to children, recreation, personal creativity and romance. The menu is great. What’s not to like?
Cancer: There is a new moon eclipse this week, and Moon Children are particularly susceptible to its intensity. Your attention is drawn to issues of aging. This may be of yourself, your family or your property. There are special concerns about one or more siblings or their spouses. Neighbors could be problematic. Ease up and take your time.
Leo: You are likely to make a shift in perspective concerning your career. You have been thinking about making a long-term investment, and one doesn’t make such decisions overnight. But now is the time to take your ideas more seriously. It means belt-tightening for a couple of years, but it will be profitable.
Libra: Mercury travels rapidly through your sign until Sept. 26. During this period there likely will be greater emphasis on communications, errands and other short-distance travels. Your mind will be quick and your attitude persuasive. A side effect is that you may be forgetful. Make notes on everything — twice.
Scorpio: Your romantic side is in high gear this week. This is a good time to create a romantic setting and take some quiet moments with your lover. Those with children will be enjoying the back-to-school quiet. Things flow relatively smoothly for the intense Scorpio this week.
Sagittarius: Your positive attitude serves as a balm for those who are in emotional pain. You may have a message of healing for one or even a group in your world. Short-distance travel and activities concerned with education, whether teaching or learning, are favored.
Capricorn: Something is just beginning in the arenas of travel, education, business or legal matters. It may not look favorable now. It presents in your life as though you must do the thing. However, if you take on the necessary research, effort and legwork, there will be a payoff by the end of 2008.
Aquarius: This is a great week for fun and frolic or education and creative works. If you need support from friends or your network, this is the time to ask. Everyone is ready to lend a hand. Travel, publishing and legal interests are favored. General physical and mental healing is occurring.
Pisces: You and your Significant Other may need time to review the conditions in your relationship. There may be issues to define and reorganize. Probably it is the Other who feels it most strongly. Your current streak of independence needs to be contained, lest you do damage you would rather not.
