McColl Center for Visual Art’s newest exhibition titled Decade opened on Sept. 4, but will celebrate its opening reception tonight. This 10-year anniversary exhibition for McColl Center for Visual Art, features works by a variety of alumni artists. Rob Carter, Shaun Cassidy, Nick Cave, Rae Goodwin, Hongsock Lee, Willie Little, Gabi Nkosi, Susan Harbage Page, Renee Stout and Kenichi Yokono have been in-residence in Charlotte throughout the year and have had art featured throughout other cities around the world. Some of the works are pretty funky — just check out Nick Cave’s piece titled “Soundsuit” (pictured). Exhibition continues through Jan. 9, 2010.
