The Second Annual GayCharlotte Film Festival will be held over the course of four days this week. The event commences with an evening screening of Little Ashes, starring Twilight vampire-heartthrob Robert Pattinson as the brilliant artist Salvador Dali. The screening of the film, which looks at the intertwined lives (and romances) of Dali, filmmaker Luis Bunuel and writer Federico Garcia Lorca, will be accompanied by Spanish-themed festivities, including tapas from Solé, sangria and music. The following three days will feature showings of over a dozen other movies, culminating with the closing-night screening of the film festival favorite Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay! Continues through Jan. 31. Opening Gala: $25 ($45 Valentine’s Day couple special); $8 for subsequent film screenings. 6:15 p.m. Charlotte Lesbian & Gay Community Center, 820 Hamilton St., Ste. B11, NC Music Factory. For complete schedule with titles, times and venues, go to www.GayCharlotteFilmFestival.com.
