Roller derby. Not much really needs to be said about the indie sport, guaranteeing action-packed excitement, as wheels whip round the rink and aggression breaks out in full swing. Add to that alternative girls wearing short skirts, fishnet hose and sometimes exposed undies, and you can’t help but watch in amazement. This Saturday, the Q.C.’s own Charlotte Roller Girls will have their first home bout of the season against the Raleigh-based Carolina Bootleggers at Grady Cole Center. Come out and support. $4-$14. 6 p.m. Grady Cole Center, 310 N. Kings Drive. For more information, visit www.charlotterollergirls.com.
