Rather than call himself fat, comedian Gabriel Iglesias prefers the term “fluffy.” OK, whatever. But the in-the-clouds comedian can’t hide the fact he was disqualified from NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2006. And yet Inglesias was pegged “Comedian of the Year” by Comedy Central in 2006, so that sort of makes up for his unfortunate end on the show. He’s also gone on to release a CD, Picachu and a DVD, 2 Hot 2 Fluffy. Currently on his “Fluffy Shop Tour,” Iglesias will visit the Q.C. for a performance at Knight Theater tonight. His comedy act consists of parodies, storytelling and right-on imitations. Come hungry to laugh. $35. 8 p.m. Knight Theater, 430 S. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
