Charlotte’s finest restaurants and culinary schools come together for Taste of the Nation, an annual shindig (in its 15th year) that raises money to support Share Our Strength, an organization devoted to ending childhood hunger in Charlotte. The event features lots of food from more than 20 eateries, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, special demonstrations on how-to mix drinks, live music by Hot Sauce, a silent auction and more. $60-$85. 7-10 p.m. The Atrium, 301 S. Tryon St. http://strength.org/charlotte/.
