Being a mom isn’t easy. In fact, it’s a job on its own, only you don’t get paid with cash; you get paid with dirty diapers. That’s what Mother Load is all about. Creator Amy Wilson’s own experiences from raising three children gave birth to what is now an Off-Broadway hit. Consisting of only one woman, the show is a funny mix of motherhood happenings and all the extras, including the importance of organic baby food and prenatal yoga. After the performances you can also catch Talk Back About Parenting with Amy Wilson and others who will discuss family and parenting topics. $29.50-$34.50 Sept. 30-Oct. 26, times vary. Stage Door Theater, North College Street at 5th Street. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
