Emotions (especially the bad ones) can be dangerous sometimes. Road rage is the perfect example, but since that was before William Shakespeare’s time, he stuck with the pure perils of jealousy and prejudices in his Othello. Starting this week on Aug. 4, Collaborative Arts’ Charlotte Shakespeare Festival — which kicked off with outdoor performances of Comedy of Errors in May — continues with indoor showings of the love story gone horribly bad at McGlohon Theatre. Make sure you check it out during its run through Aug. 15, as it’d be even more of a tragedy to miss it. Free, but $5 donation is encouraged. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. For more information, call 704-625-1288 or visit www.collaborativeartstheatre.com.
