Occupy Charlotte at Old City Hall on Oct. 1

Since Oct. 1, when Occupy Charlotte first came together at Marshall Park, the protesters have marched every Saturday at 3 p.m. — but not this Saturday.

There will be no protest on Dec. 3, but that doesn’t mean Occupiers will be idle. From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. the group is participating in an event it’s calling a “day of organization and education.”

As posted on MeetUp.com, though OccupyTogether.org:

This Saturday we’re altering our usual schedule for a day of organization and education. Please meet us at 10am at the Occupation site to help with camp maintenance (raking, tent-numbering, waste disposal). We will then have a pot-luck lunch — please bring something if you are able. After lunch there will be some Working Group meetings and teach-ins. Then we will have our General Assembly. Please attend as much as you can.

Also according to MeetUp.com: The potluck starts at noon, an electoral reform teach-in at 2 p.m. and the General Assembly at 5 p.m.
