The Republican National Committee will meet in January in Charlotte. Though not nearly as people-heavy as the Democratic National Convention, 168 GOPers are expected in the Queen City January 23-26.
According to the Associated Press, the committee will discuss what is needed to recapture the White House.

… not how to move the country forward. How to capture the White House.
This country would be so much better off if we could get rid of political parties. Imagine what the country would be like if your Congressman spoke for his/her district instead of his/her party.
It would be even better if our president would quit campaigning and start leading. Even with a zillion csars to do his work, they don’t know how either. The ignorance of the voters is what is the scariest.
