Greensboro, NC (March 9, 2020) ––  It is not a diagnosis that anyone wants to receive, but through research we can make a Parkinson's diagnosis seem less frightening.

The Albertson Parkinson's Research Foundation (ARPF) was founded in August 2018 by Morgan Albertson Rice. Morgan is the daughter of John and Lisa Albertson and newlywed to husband, Clay Rice. The organization has a mission to help create means to better research Parkinson's Disease through sporting events and other community gatherings. Last April, Morgan hosted the 1st Annual ARPF Golf Outing, raising over $28,000 from the event alone. All proceeds from ARPF events benefit Parkinson's Disease research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

The 2nd Annual Parkinson's Research Golf Outing is set for April 20, 2020 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.  Sedgefield Country Club is one of North Carolina's premier McConnell Golf Clubs and home to the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship.

A note from Morgan  ––

Parkinson’s Disease is something that is very close to my heart, as I have had two family members diagnosed with the disease. Family means everything to me, so now that I have a tie to the disease I will do everything in my power to make sure the research is funded for this Parkinson’s. My dad is treated through the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida by Zbigniew K. Wszolek, M.D. All the funds from this golf outing will go directly to Dr. Wszolek’s Parkinson’s Disease Research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. We appreciate your interest in this golf outing and hope to see you on April 20, 2020! — Morgan Albertson, President APRF tweet this
