The Deal: It's the latest CD from T-Pain, the rapper/singer who's infamous for producing songs using synthetic-sounding, computer-manipulated vocals – better known as AutoTune.
The Bad: Let's start this review off with what sucks about Thr33 Ringz first – because to many people, like me, T-Pain represents everything that's wrong with music these days. Not only do his songs generally lack depth from a lyrical point of view, but the music backing up the vocals usually come off as a jumbled mess of sequenced nonmusic. And on Thr33 Ringz, the Pain man continues down his normal, awful path. So, if you like vapid tunes about nothing, featuring a ton of guest artists and voice that sounds like Optimus Prime, you'll love this crap.
The Good: I actually like one song on the album, "Reality Show," which features guest vocals by neo-soul stars Musiq Souldchild and Raheem DeVaughn. That shit is jamming.
The Verdict: It's digital feces.
