Owner Darin Nicolas has opened the Creole House on Main in Cornelius, 20517 North Main Street. Located in an old house, the dining rooms and bar area are a series of rooms. Most of these are comfortable, quaint, and well lit – except the back room which is dark and reminiscent of the tea house which used to reside here. On the Creole Cajun menu are gumbos, étouffées, and po’boy sandwiches. Prices for dinner entrees range from $10.95 to $16.95 for a 16 ounce blackened rib eye. Hours are Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday noon to 11 p.m. www.thecreolehouseonmainstreet.com.

the food sucks
The owner has zero skills at cooking and appears to be paying for his restaurant with the money he collects from bilking people out of there money.
The food here is marginal, but the owner/cook (not chef) is Lake Normans finest low life. He scams everyone he makes contact with. Lawsuits and creditors follow him every where while he parties like a rock star. He doesn’t have time to run this business like it deserves because of his extensive social schedule. No wonder his business was shut down just recently by inspectors…..he thinks he is above the law. BTW he recently scammed a wedding couple out of his personel home rental. Par for the course!
Owner just got popped for growing pot upstair. Hahahahahaahahahah
