CARRIE RODRIGUEZ Carrie Rodriguez’ latest, We Still Love Our Country, pairs the multi-instrumentalist’s passionate vocals with those of Romantica frontman Ben Kyle. It’s a tongue-in-cheek title for a record consisting mainly of country music chestnuts. The pair keeps well-traveled Van Zandt and Prine tunes reasonably fresh, though closing on Boudleaux Bryant’s “Love Hurts” is a painfully obvious move. The raw eroticism of the lone original “Fire Alarm” (“he makes me growl like a fire engine” — yikes!) makes it a bit of a shame the two didn’t write more of the album. $12-$15.
