You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch: One crafty thief walked into a Charlotte-area Belk, removed the anti-theft devices from four pairs of men’s pants and concealed them inside a shopping bag before leaving the store without paying. The suspect was apprehended and being escorted to the loss prevention office when he ran away. While trying to make his getaway, he ran into several holiday displays damaging more than $900 worth of Christmas products and ornaments.

Wax On, Wax off: A South Charlotte apartment complex reported $1,000 in damage after a suspect was seen karate chopping two apartment complex signs to pieces. The signs will have to be replaced. Well done, Daniel-san.

It Smelled Delicious: Someone climbed onto the second-story balcony of an east Charlotte apartment to steal a pink, white and black mountain bike. Before leaving, the suspect entered the apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole the homemade dinner cooked by the victim’s wife.

You Stink: Someone walked into a SouthPark Mall department store and concealed eight bottles of perfume, valued at $500, before leaving without paying.

Strong and Sexy: A South Charlotte CVS detained a suspect who had concealed a container of Muscle Milk and mascara before trying to walk out of the store.

Goldilocks in Reverse: Three suspects entered a vacant northeast Charlotte home through an open window with the intent of sleeping there. No word if they ate any porridge or not.

Harass and sniff: A family member of a 30-year-old woman was charged with communicating threats and making harassing phone calls after calling the victim approximately 50 times and texting her 100 times. The suspect also threatened her by saying, “Dead or alive, I’m going back to jail. You’re gonna feel hot bullets. I’m gonna kill you. I do a lot of cocaine, so I don’t care.”
