Writer Rhiannon Fionn
Rhiannon Fionn-Bowman was recently recognized by the Charlotte chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for her stellar local environmental reporting. Nominator Bill Gupton, chairman of the Central Peidmont Sierra Club, commended the long-time Creative Loafing contributing writer for her coal-ash reporting, much of which can be found in the pages of this publication.
Says Fionn-Bowman:
It's a true honor to be recognized by this organization, and on my grandmother's 80th birthday no less.
Congratulations, Rhi. We'll ask granny to pinch your cheeks for us.
Heres an item that combines three of my favorite things to write about: the Tea Party movement, my lovely home state of South Carolina, and low-rent thieves.
