Music Dave Matthews, ZZ Ward, Iron and Wine concerts announced

Here's a quick rundown of recently announced concerts for the Charlotte area:

Dave Matthews in Charlotte in 2013.

* Dave Matthews Band will perform at PNC Music Pavilion, formerly Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, on July 22. The band is planning "looser" concerts that will mix electric and acoustic performances over two sets. Some songs will be performed full-band while others may only feature Matthews and guitarist Tim Reynolds. No word on ticket sales yet.

* ZZ Ward returns to the Visulite Theatre on March 5. The singer's shows have sold out the last two times she performed at the Elizabeth Ave. venue. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 17.

* Iron and Wine will perform at McGlohon Theater on Feb. 22. Tickets are on sale Friday, Jan. 17.

* Fall Out Boy, Paramore and New Politics will perform at PNC Music Pavilion on July 23. Tickets are on sale Friday, Jan. 17.

* Bastille will perform at the Fillmore on May 20. Tickets are on sale on Friday, Jan. 17.

* Brett Dennen will perform at the Chop Shop on Feb. 22. Tickets are on today at 11 a.m.

* Shovels and Rope will be at the Visulite Theatre on March 4. Tickets are on sale now.
