Adam Lambert ruins ‘Purple Haze,’ smokes a joint

Yeah, it’s a couple of months old, but someone just brought it to my attention. Adam Lambert held a concert in Amsterdam in November and performed a cover of “Purple Haze.”

Aside from getting the lyrics wrong (and no, I won’t pick on his “‘scuse me while I kiss this guy” switch-up — it’s “Whatever it is, that girl put a spell on me,” not “Whatever it is, that girl’s got a hold on me.”

Anyway, he apparently loves the opportunity to scream and stick out his tongue whenever possible.

He also decides to smoke what could be a joint about halfway into the song, though Lambert apparently hasn’t learned to inhale and hold it, or the time-old mantra of “puff, puff, give.”

Instantly high, Lambert mixes up “Whole Lotta Love” and “Voodoo Chile,” calling for the first one before singing the rhythm of the second. Of course, the band corrects it.
