The Deal: The Band Perry, Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw filled Verizon Wireless Amphitheater despite the rain made it more like a water park than a country concert.

The Good: Luke Bryan shook it for us, but I still think The Band Perry was a better opener — and a bigger name. For starters their music is played on a few different local radio stations. And they also started their song "You Lie" with an acoustic remix to Eminem's "Love the Way you Lie." Apparently, that’s the new cool thing for country stars to do as Taylor Swift did it at a recent concert as well.

The Bad: It rained, but according to Luke Bryan that's a good thing. Rain makes corn and corn makes whiskey. He has a point. Tim McGraw didn’t play his song, “All in My Head” that he did with Nelly. It was all hick, no hop. In fact, he performed mostly his older, classic songs. It was like listening to my old country mix tapes. Okay, he’s not as old as the cassette, but you get the picture.

The Verdict: Tim McGraw is a double threat — acting and singing. His dancing abilities have yet to be determined, but he’s a good guy, so that makes him a triple threat. He even got off stage and started singing IN the audience. Country music is the best at the Amphitheater. But what’s not is the cell phone reception. My phone doesn’t get service at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, which is strange considering I have a Verizon phone.
