The FBI arrested four men yesterday for allegedly plotting to bomb a Jewish temple in the Bronx and to shoot military planes with guided missiles. If this arrest for terror conspiracies winds up like most other ones, these four guys will turn out to have been incompetent hotheads with big mouths who were stupid enough to talk about the violent ideas running around in their heads. BUT, if this was a real threat, then congratulations and we’re glad you got them before they could go through with their plan. Either way, this kind of criminal investigation is the way to go in nabbing terrorists, as opposed to say, spending a billion dollars a week on ineffective and, to put it mildly, counterproductive military attacks.
