The band Jane’s Addiction, along with Nirvana, was one of the first “alternative” bands to bring what was once termed “college rock” to a wider audience. Of course, now we have thousands of bands following their formula, which makes the whole thing moot anyway. Folks from the Edinburgh Community in Ballantyne are hosting a FDNY Engine 202 Ladder 101 Benefit today from 4-10pm.
