Most of us can’t help but rejoice that winter is finally over and we’re starting to feel warm springtime heat. Nonetheless, we all know that soon the “It’s too hot!” complaints will come and we’ll miss the chills of winter. Keeping all this indecision on the brain, Green Rice Gallery’s latest exhibition of paintings of North Carolina in all four seasons, seems fitting. The exhibition, aptly titled Changing of the Seasons, features new works created by artist Holt McLean. It opens with a reception tonight, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Exhibition continues through May 30. Green Rice Gallery, 451 E. 36th St. 704-344-0300. www.green-rice.com.
