Pop artist Andy Warhol was, is, and has been a hero (to many, but not all) in the art world for his ultimate combos of popular culture in art. Running through Feb. 15, 2009, the Mint Museum of Art will feature the exhibition Andy Warhol Portfolios: Life & Legends. You can see the artist’s early works, which include pieces like Endangered Species, Flower, Jews, Myths, Muhammad Ali and Space Fruits. Each work fluctuates between things like every day objects or famous people with bright colorful bursts in all directions. $3-$6; Free for members and children 5 and under.
