Maybe you wanted to play with Barbies and wear high heels as a young boy. Or when you were a little girl your favorite toys were G.I. Joes and Matchbox cars. What kind of impact does society have on gender roles? The Light Factory asks just that in their outreach program entitled Images of Manhood and Womanhood. An investigation of gender roles in the media, this program allows students the opportunity to explore their gender identity through expressive photography, installation art and performance art. April 14-20. The Light Factory, 345 N. College St. 704-333-9755. www.lightfactory.org.
