Break out the bike, work out the legs and gain experience and awareness about riding the bike lanes of the Q.C. at CycleCharlotte08. The celebration also features free food, kids’ safety classes, free helmets and vibes from The Amy Broome Band. CycleCharlotte08 honors Todd Weaver, a Charlottean who devotedly road his bicycle from Concord to Uptown Charlotte and was tragically killed when a CATS bus hit him. You can ride for a good cause as proceeds of the event go to Dowd YMCA Community Outreach and to the Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance for programs in bike safety and education. $20-$30.
