Neck and neck briefly, with Pyramid edging out Baleen because of a more cohesive overall approach to their experimentation — though comparing the two is playing the apples/oranges game. Pyramid can go from hush-quiet to explosive crescendo in a measure or two. This is what they mean by chamber rock. Now, if only that record were ready…
