Brendle, a freelance bassist in the Charlotte area since 1981, is one of the finest musicians in this area, period. His performance/recording vitae includes stints with Nneena Freelon, Clark Terry, Charlie Byrd, Andrew Hill, Charlie Rouse and Mose Allison, and he often gigs with any number of up-and-coming artists, lending them his singular talent on the four- (and five-) string bass.
