Doug Stanhope’s mouth has been known to get him in trouble. Take for instance the boos and thrown objects he received after making derogatory comments about the Royal Family during an encounter at Leeds Festival in the U.K. But, unlike most of us — who don’t want to risk getting bashed in the face with a flying object — it doesn’t seem to phase him. Frequently armed with cigarettes and alcohol, Stanhope relentlessly maintains a crude attitude during his stand-up gigs. But if anything, he’s an addict to offense more than anything else. Stanhope performs on June 5 at The Milestone. $20-$22. 9 p.m. 3400 Tuckaseegee Road. www.afterbirthcasserole.com/milestone/site/.
