Watching dummies on New Year’s Eve? Sounds a little bizarre, but not so much with ventriloquist and stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham in the house. This is definitely no kiddy show. Dunham, whose TV endeavors via The Jeff Dunham Show and hit DVDs — Arguing With Myself, Spark Of Insanity, and A Very Special Christmas Special — have been featured on Comedy Central, brings life to his “sidekicks,” all of which you just can’t help but chuckle at, whether its Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Walter, Peanut, or Jose Jalapeno. If it’s a good laugh you want on New Year’s Eve, don’t be a dummy and go somewhere else, head to Time Warner Cable Arena. $49.50. 7 p.m. Time Warner Cable Arena, 333 E. Trade St. 800-745-3000. www.timewarnercablearena.com.
