Any man who describes himself as a “Man-ish boy” is someone I want to stay away from — mainly for fear of immaturity. But comedian Ralph Harris — coming to Booth Playhouse — is an exception. Though his new stand-up gig is called MANish Boy, I’m willing to bet it entails laughter as opposed to well, the rolling of eyes. A former contestant on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Harris’ act focuses on the early years of his life and some rather hilarious experiences encountered along his way to adulthood. Through storytelling and acting, Harris deciphers what’s made him into the man he is today. $24.50. June 25-26, 8 p.m.; June 27, 3 p.m. Booth Playhouse, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
