Tim Wilson is an expert at deep-fried, Southern-style humor. The Georgia-based comedian is all about some hillbilly action, and he isn’t afraid to make albums about it. The fact that he can sing a little helps with that, but more importantly is his ability to twist humor into songs as absurd as “Trailer Love” and “First Baptist Bar & Grill.” Adult language and content. $25. 7:30 p.m. Booth Playhouse, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
