Charlotte Dance Festival knows how to bring on the moves — and they do it with Dance Charlotte! The event, which proves just how much North Carolina locals can put their feet to action, features performances from a variety of choreographers and companies from Gastonia’s Caroline Calouche & Co. to Charlotte’s E.E. Motion and a whole lot more, including New York’s Von Howard Project. To open the show, the Charlotte Dance Festival Repertory Ensemble has Greek Dreams with Flute, choreographed by the late Erick Hawkins up its sleeve. And there’s plenty of other jigs to follow. Give your eyes some candy with all this fury of sugar-coated footwork. Nov. 14-15. $10-$20. 8 p.m. Booth Playhouse, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
