At the 92nd Street Young Men’s Hebrew Association back in 1958, something was started that revolutionized American dance. The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater came into being, gaining a reputation as an ambassador of American culture and promoting the African-American experience. In this show, audiences are invited to witness five unique programs including Ailey’s Revelations, Episodes, and Twyla Tharp’s The Golden Section. 8 p.m. $15-$59.
