Tap master Savion Glover brings his magical feet to the Q.C. for a night of furious footwork. Rampant taps, slides and stomps make Glover’s feet like an instrument, often providing the extra rhythmic scores to R&B, hip-hop, jazz and Caribbean beats. That’s why he’s a Tony Award-winner with stage credits like Bring In ‘Da Noise, Bring In ‘Da Funk. Mumble (You know, the penguin from the animated film Happy Feet) just wouldn’t have had the moves without Glover, who co-choreographed and acted as motion-capture dancer for the role. Check Savion Glover out when he taps his way into Belk Theater. $25 and up. 7:30 p.m. Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
