Two of N.C. Dance Theatre’s ace choreographers get to strut their newest stuff, beginning a six-performance run at intimate Booth Playhouse through March 8. Rhoden, Bolero & Balanchine is also grounded in the classics, featuring excerpts from George Balanchine’s Who Cares? Should be absolutely authentic, considering that NCDT artistic director Patricia McBride was a principal at New York City Ballet when the piece premiered. 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. $10-$69. Booth Playhouse, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
