Look out, Detroit, Charlotte’s no where near you in terms of music. But, we are hosting the Mid-Atlantic Music Conference. Touted as “the premier music event,” MAMC features the best up-and-coming performer in every genre. The Barnettes, a local family group beloved by this paper, was showcased at this conference. The list of panelists will include: DJ Speedy (producer for Young Jeezy, Beyoncé, Gipp & Ali), Rico Lumpkin (producer/engineer for Outkast, TLC’s Chilli, Public Enemy, Kelly Price), and Columbia Records’ Tone Capone. 7:30-10 p.m. $20.
