UNC-Charlotte’s International Festival takes Charlotte ’round the world with its Epcot-like feel of countries, culture, food and entertainment. In its 33rd year, this festival goes down on Sept. 27. It’s not to be missed and best of all: It’s free. But bring money because you’ll want to spend a wee bit on things like foods, jewelry, crafts and whatever might catch your eye. Don’t miss the parade of nations, where more than 60 different nationalities are represented in traditional attire. Other entertainment includes dance performances, African folk tales and music — from Afro-Cuban to Caribbean grooves to Celtic folk melodies.
