In its 34th year, the BANFF Film Festival stops into the US National Whitewater Center during its “World Tour” today. At the fest, films on action-packed mountain adventures and environmental issues will be screened. Dominic Gill will be in attendance to present the film, Take a Seat, which tells the story of his bicycle journey from Alaska to Argentina. Other films to be screened include MedeoZFirst AcentDeep/Shinsetsu, Pick-up Sticks, Project Megawoosh, Kranked: Revolve and Africa Revolutions Tour. $10. 7 p.m.-10 p.m. US National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy. 704-391-3900. www.usnwc.org.
