Monday don’t have to suck, especially when The Light Factory and Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte bring you Cult Movie Mondays. Death Race 2000 will be screened during this week’s series. The film — directed by Paul Bartel and starring David Carradine, Simone Griffeth and Sylvester Stallone — is set in the year 2000 and takes place in a dystopian American society where a brutal Transcontinental Road Race event has become a form of national entertainment and delight. Geez people, have some compassion! During the screening free popcorn and cash bar will be available. Free. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; movie starts at 8 p.m. Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, 650 E. Stonewall St. 704-342-2251. www.actorstheatrecharlotte.org.
