Take some time to appreciate the dangerous side of film with Orson Welles’ American film Touch of Evil, which explores controversial themes such as racism, betrayal, sexual ambiguity, and police corruption of power. In honor of Into The Mystic, the Spirit Square Center for Arts and Education is presenting the dark and moody flick. It intertwines and follows the stories of outrageous characters, all within a 24-hour period. In its time, Touch of Evil was described as “rebellious,” “unorthodox,” “bizarre,” and “outrageously exaggerated”; but now it’s being described as a “masterpiece of lighting.” See it for yourself at this special screening. $5-$7. 7 p.m. Spirit Square, 345 N.
