The typical 4th of July celebrations include fireworks, live entertainment and food. So Red, White & Boom seemingly has it all. Make sure you’re Uptown so you can see fireworks fly across the sky as the Queen City celebrates the nation’s birthday. The fireworks, lasting around 20 minutes, will be staged from Central Piedmont Community College, beginning at 9:30 p.m. and can be seen from most parts of Uptown Charlotte. Family-friendly activities at Memorial Stadium begin at 6 p.m. and run throughout the evening. In addition, plenty of other events are going down in other parts of the Q.C. The U.S. Whitewater Center offers folks Red Rocks, Whitewater & Bluegrass 4th of July Festival, featuring live music, food, beer, wine, a fireworks dispaly and other activities, while The Breakfast Club will be having a party hosted by Bandy “Uncle Sam” O’Brien OF 107.9, The Link, with drink specials, party favors, 80’s mixes and a sweet view of the Uptown skyline.
